Today I’ve been looking at some options for how to make my Outlook/Exchange calendar publicly available, so customers and clients can see when I’ll be in their area.
A few good ways I’ve found to do this are below 🙂
1. By publishing your calendar to Office Live. You can now access online at: https://calendars.office.microsoft.com/pubcalstorage/y9r615bz1213697/Jeff_Everett_Calendar(1).htm
2. You can also let people subscribe to a calendar by having your clients use a Calendar/email viewing probram like Windows Live Mail, Outlook, or even Apple iCalendar and Mozilla Thunderbird.
a. Download the free Windows Live Mail program here, or at http://get.live.com
b. Subscribing through Office Live (also free!) or through your own WebDAV server. Here is a link to subscribe to my calendar via Office Live so updates to my schedule will be automatically delivered to your compatible calendar/email program, as mentioned above. webcals://calendars.office.microsoft.com/pubcalstorage/y9r615bz1213697/Jeff_Everett_Calendar(1).ics
Let me know how this works, I’m curious to hear your feedback!
